ABB Asset Vision Basic is a Windows-based device management tool that uses the FDT/DTM standard to configure, commission, and maintain intelligent field instruments. It provides a common interface for ABB and third-party devices, enabling parameterization, diagnostics, and documentation in one environment. Through supported communication DTMs for HART, PROFIBUS, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus, users can connect to field networks, browse device topology, and access status and diagnostic information. The software also supports saving, comparing, and restoring device parameter sets and generating reports to streamline maintenance. It is well suited for configuring individual devices in the workshop or on site, as well as for managing smaller installations.
